Hey guys got this in tonight;

ImageImageImage

Sega Blast City with Hyper Street Fighter II (CPSII)

Cab is in pretty good shape, but the monitor was supposedly *new* but has serious burn in and jitter. Player 1 and 2 start buttons were not included, and coin mech has been ripped out.

Hyper Street Fighter II is probably a conversion (in my limited knowledge), and its phoenix-ed but I'm happy with it.

So stoked to finally have a blast city but the monitor issues and missing parts sort of took some of the excitement out of it.

I've emailed the place i bought it and will be ringing them tomorrow to try and sort the monitor and missing parts out.

Gonna be restoring this to a Factory looking Blast City. Since the photos i've gone over parts of the Cab with magic eraser and its looking better already :D

Unbolted the control panel from the front of the cab, disassembled it and gave it a good soapy bath, then magic eraser sponged it, then dryed + WD40'd the metalic bits. Came up better than I expected! :D

A few decades of slobbering and drooling by excited teenagers (Some moreso than others...A bum could have been on that panel) all wiped up and ready to go... :mrgreen:

Are those new buttons just a stand in Dash whilst you get original ones?

Yeah I even found Chewing gum under the control panel, talk about authentic! ;) This Blast City was original at Sega World in Sydney!

The buttons were new from that place that I got the cab from, I initially had all black buttons and balltops. I swapped the player one balltop + buttons with my MadCatz TE so I have white buttons + balltop for Player 1. Still have to drop around the arcade shop to pickup the coin mech and the player 1 & 2 start buttons (Ones in at the moment are from my MadCatz TE stick) and see the replacement monitor he wants to give me.
