Over stretched a muscle over the weekend, so progress has been slow last few days :(

Pinched the coin button from my jukebox as it wasn't being used to great effect & put it in my arcade. Got the control panel almost wired up, most of the box is now together. Just have to rout the panel to fit the monitor in tomorrow, and cut a speaker panel to fit after that is in. Got some crappy PC speakers at Jaycar, will do fine for bleeps and bloops

Then just put it together, cross fingers that it fires up!

Have got photos, have just been too lazy to put them in photo bucket to upload, so will put them in when finished :-)

Well, after a delay, I'm finally getting somewhere again! Australia day, I broke out the new belt sander, and gave the box a going over, then gave it an undercoat. Later on that night, I tried the spray paint i bought......well, I won' be doing that again! God it was awful!

So yesterday ended up back at Bunnings, sample pot in hand from my last project, got a colour match, and am now using that instead. Roller kicks spray's arse anyday for me :). A last coat tonight, and I might finally be able to start getting somewhere toward finishing this damn thing!

Sprays are good but not from a can though. The paint quality in them is shite!

I'll have to test this theory though with some decent spray gear a compressor and uber good quality paint.

Here's to nothing...lol

Have to agree that rollers are better than spray. While I've had success with sprays such as Golden Boy and Baby Blue, it's too easy to get the dreaded banding effect. One pleasant unexpected bonus of using a low nap roller (5mm), sanding is almost a thing of the past by comparison. Only light sands needed at most.

I've found one run from the spray that I must have missed sanding down another mm or so - its showing up in the final coat under certain light :(

Dammit, its staying now though
