Well I had a thought yesterday. While listening to the ipod through a set of 2.1 speakers I thought how it would be cool to have a little enclosure for the speakers to make life easier. So I thought some more and today started on my Juke Pod. When finished it will look like a mini jukebox with the speakers inside and a dock for the iPod/iPhone.

So here's what I got done today. Still a bit to do and certainly some tidying up needed but a decent start I feel.

That looks great, and top effort if you only thought of it yesterday.

But you need one of these

Did I mention that I was a distributor for DNA Audio?

So do they have a dock that still allows control via the phone? Or are they only for use with a car stereo head unit?

Jesus BIG...your mind never stops working I must say and like Danny said, damn impressive for a thought one day to a completed shell the next!

I can see at least 10 of those babies lined up along the driveway for sale very soon in an array of styles and colours.

GO NUTS SON!

they connect via rca and usb to your pc and you can run software to control it. Have not tried it myself, but there is plenty of software on the net for free including vnc.

The dock is not cheap at RRP$179.95 but I get 20% discount from memory, maybe a little more, not sure.

Here is one way of controlling it

Cheers sisters! Worked too long and felt really sick from the heat but a lie down and a couple of beers fixed that!

Danny I love those docks but I don't think they'll suit this project (no PC) but a real possibility for a full juke.

I'm thinking about using some veneer for the curvey bit, do you sell that Danny? I'm going to need a 65" x 14,5" piece, failing that then I'm thinking a long piece of that adhesive vinyl, probably black. Can you give me any idea on cost?

Gave it a test run and sounds good!

I can get anything, you should know that Big!

I actually had the rep from Laminex around my place a few days ago, and will be supplying me direct from the manufacturer. Have not got the prices yet, but they are setting me up with an account.

The colour range is HUGE! (but they do have black)
