Have they announced a release date yet?

They first announced 2.0 back in october, and everyone has been asking for the release date since then with the reply "when it's done"

I am keen on 2.0 especially with vertical screen support, but not only do we have to wait for the release of 2.0 (whenever that is) but also many of the themes would need to be redone to support the new features. This will take some time.

My opinion is to send around the older version which people can use now and get familiar with, and when 2.0 is released, spend some time putting all the themes together and making it as easy as possible for others to install.

First time they have given (although VERY rough estimate) a release date on hyperspin 2.0.

Yeah but considering BadBoyBill is pretty much working alone on his free time, HyperSpin is amazing.

I've actually written a few functions that are in HyperSpin 1.x but was more to do with the XML side of things. He's a top bloke and I find it admirable that he hasn't burnt out already.

Hey Heath, i can barely code anymore mostly just C# and Java. Used to be asm in my younger days but i think a combination of not using it for years and alcohol has stopped me from using it now, plus C# is just such a nice and easy language, and its compilable on Unix/Linux thanks to Mono.

Now with the pants, i'm just gonna copy everything and ship it off. When HyperSpin 2.0 comes out I'll do up a new HyperSpin version for everyone. Works been quite hectic, no free time really.

Latest MAME.
