the base of my joystick is rectangular and if i mounted it horizontally (landscape) it would of fit properly but i mounted it vertically (portrait) and the quickc connects get in the way and the control panel wont sit flat. I think i have rectified the problem by trenching the back of the cp. will see tonight when i take it home.

Ahhh, I had the same problem, I had to bend the spade terminals on the microswitches 90deg so my cocktail CP's would close.

Ok, might try that. Generally i tend to snap things doing mods like that, but will give it a go.

Actually, I think I bent the tops of the crimp terminals themselves 90deg, not the spades on the switches.

I just put them in some pliers and bent them over by hand. Still slide on, the wire just comes off them at a 90 degree angle.

ah that sounds like a better option. i have loads of spare crimp connectors (enough for about 10 cabs as i always overspend)

rant over....... wheres that fucking beer...

will now do a complete rebuild instead of patching and rehashing and hoping it works........

Feel your pain Heath, sucks when things don't go to plan. Forget about it for now - it will all work out in the end, trust me :)

just made it worse trying to fix it..... so no choice but a rebuild... will stop now before i take my eye out or something...

i feel like taking it outside and burning it, and then gluing it back together and burn it again..

might watch something funny to take my mind off it... its only a piece of wood...

Quite often quicker (and easier) to do a rebuild than to fix. you should see my scrap pile.
