Hey everyone...

I've been keeping a low profile for a while now, but I've taken a new direction with my arcade machine. I've stopped running hyperspin and all the great games that were part of the pants package. Instead, Ive been booting directly into a single game - Maldita Castilla. Don't know if you guys have heard of it, Kotaku did a thing on it a while ago. I grabbed it, and have been playing it mostly non-stop since. :) It's a brand new game, lots of nostalgia has been programmed into it - a homage of sorts(Ghosts and Goblins, Rygar, etc). Its a 10meg package, install onto windows machine, run at start up. Works great on the machine, remapped the keys to match my ipac configuration, and off we went.

Anyway, for consideration if you enjoy ghosts and goblins style game play.

That looks really sweet! I reckon I should be able to integrate a launch thingy into Hyperspin for this. Does it run off an .exe?

It does - just a plain old exe file. I've no doubt you can you fire it up from Hyperspin....I'm just too lazy..There is a separate 'settings' program where you can configure the keys used by the game, so I reckon you could make it work through that(and make sure key bindings dont interfere with anything).

With a thread title of 'The game I've been playing' I fully expected Heath to have said 'Hide the Sausage' by now

Replying to my own thread, must be a low point :)

Anyway, I've been playing Hammerwatch a bit, it's a bit of fun, Gauntlet style 4 player co-op. 8-bit style graphics, bit retro, plenty of fun. The version I'm playing is just a BETA test version, not sure how the full version is going to be distributed though - I see steam integration might be implemented, so that might rule it out from my arcade machine. :(

You guys might have fun playing it for a bit; http://www.hammerwatch.com/

That looks pretty cool, love the music.

Would be a great addition to the arcade machine but if it's going to be Steam only then yeh, might not be possible.
