Ive been working for the same mob for 9 years.

They called me into the office and said I will have to have my days cut from 10 to 6 per fortnight.

I am full time, can they do this??

Did you sign a contract previously stating you will be on 10 days?

Even if you didn't I'd approach Fair Work and see what they have to say about it. Doesn't seem right to me.

They shouldn't do this but as big says, check with your local/state authorities for advice on legalities.

In this current climate, many will lose jobs and any work is a godsend to survive. My wife is one of them but she can work for me with no pay...

Just look at the bigger picture before making any brazen moves towards your employer, regardless of what is right and wrong in a legal sense.

Think first about your needs. Sometimes something is better than nothing but each case is different.

What do you do/experienced at mate?
