Well after alot searching for parts, they are finally here and ready for piecing together, all 3.5kg's of them (Actual model weight is 1.8kg's):

This part below (ie - 1x1 plates in very light grey) 1900 in photo and was lucky to get my hands on them:

and then these super rare (ie - light grey macaroni bricks in which I needed 8 but could only source 6 in Oz which in turn had Dlude go out on a limb for me and grab 40 of the suckers from overseas on my behalf...Many thanks mate!!! :D

These last few pieces go on near the end of the build but the final touches and why the colour was so important.

I'll get started on building in the next few days and be sure to give you some updates of the build progress as I go. Should take longer than Empire build due to so many 1x1 plates. Total part count is 5771, about 1000 more pieces than Empire build but similar size. Those damn 1x1 plates again....

Total cost has come in around $700.00 but did buy a few parts for Flinders Street MOC so probably about $150.00 less which wasn't too bad considering.

Anyway, off to generate a building guide now and get started soon....... 8-)

Just getting time atm to build it, on top of waiting to take delivery of some parts Dlude has ordered for me.

Shouldn't be too far away now before I start getting some piccies of the build progress together.

I'd say give it another week mate due to shipping from overseas being slow sometimes.

My guess is around 3 weeks as an average turnaround. I think it's been about 2 so far yeah?

Australian Air Express left a note that I have a parcel to pick up from the post office Dlude.... :D

I'd say it's those bricks you ordered. Will check tommorrow arvo.

Hopefully get a chance to start this build very soon. It's killing me not having alot of time during the day and being buggered to get started in the evenings.

It appears that parcel ended up being a carton of brochures from one of my suppliers...:(

Well, those bricks Dlude ordered did turn up a few weeks back...phew...:) As for when I start this build is anyones guess but parts sit proudly in a box in my hallway to remind me that I have to start soon. It's taking a while isn't it?

Oh well, I keep getting distracted but each time I look at it, I'm one step closer to actually building it. Just loaded LDD and other MOCS onto my work lappie last week, so I'm almost there you could say.....
